Mommy and Me Photography session in High Park, Toronto | Capturing Love & Connection
Mommy and Me Photography in Toronto holds a special place in my heart. These sessions have been my personal therapy in disguise.
After welcoming my daughter, Paityn, I found myself navigating the emotional waves of postpartum blues. Photography became more than just a creative outlet—it was a way to heal, connect, and cherish the fleeting moments of motherhood. During that time, I found incredible support through Strides Toronto, where compassionate counselors and nurses helped me navigate this new chapter. Their guidance made all the difference, and capturing Paityn’s milestones became a way to hold onto the joy that carried me through those early days.
Photographing Paityn wasn’t just about documenting growth. It was about preserving the little moments that make motherhood so special—her silly faces, spontaneous giggles, and the way she reached for my hand. These images became reminders of the love and joy that carried me through those early days.
So when my dear friend Kelsey told me she hadn’t had a chance to do a newborn session with MJ, I knew we had to create something meaningful. We chose High Park in Toronto, a perfect setting with stroller-friendly paths, open spaces, and beautiful natural backdrops.
During our session, Kelsey shared the little things that make MJ light up with joy. At his curious age, he’s exploring everything—pulling himself up, reaching for the world, and even finding fascination in his mom’s hoop earrings! Every cuddle, every giggle, and every moment of pure connection was a privilege to capture.
Documenting the bond between Kelsey and MJ was an honor. I’m so grateful to have preserved these memories for them.
